Team Building & Leadership Development Youth Retreats

Lodestone provides adventure-based developmental team building programs for youth around the world. Through the use of the high ropes challenge course and exciting adventure based activities, youth have the opportunity to discover new tools that allow them to be resilient in today's complicated world. Through experiential education, youth discover effective teamwork and specific communication skills, and their own unique leadership styles.

Lodestone Youth Programs offer a variety of opportunities from one-day events to week-long programs. We facilitate groups of all sizes, in a multitude of environments, indoors and out, including non-profit organizations, science camps and environmental education programs, and at risk youth programs for building self-esteem and self confidence.

Through outdoor adventure education and challenge, people of all ages learn more about themselves and the world around them. Lodestone believes that by inviting youth to set their own level of challenge, they are more apt to participate fully and learn while having fun.

Adventure based activities present opportunities that challenge the group to utilize their resources, build trust, learn effective communication, take risks and work together as a team.

Athletic Teams

Athletic teams are a great example of groups that work together towards a common goal. It is extremely important that each member of the team can align with the rest of the team as well as put the goals of the team above individual needs. Teambuilding and adventure activities are a perfect compliment to an athletic teams training program. Lodestone has had the opportunity to work with many teams from the college and high school level. Each team has its own challenges and goals. All programs are custom designed to inspire teams to work better together. Whether your team is working towards holding onto the championship or a new program getting started, a teambuilding program can help your team align and work better together.

Lodestone works closely with the coach or team captain to design each program. We have worked with Olympic teams as well as high school teams to help them develop their own leadership and teamwork.

Many of the Lodestone staff are credentialed educators that specialize in athletics. Our staff bring a diverse background from physical education and coaching to adventure racing.
